LUXEMBOURG • The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg is a small country landlocked by Belgium, France and Germany. It is the second richest country in the world and gets its name from a fortress.

ANNE BEFFORT • Born in the 1880s in the Neudorf district of Luxembourg City, Anne Beffort was an educator, literary writer and biographer, who wrote works on Victor Hugo and Alexandre Soumet. Anne was the daughter of a gardener, and one of 12 children.
