A GARDEN full of atmosphere and simple elegance • Welcome to a unique visit to this garden, orangery and store. We’re visiting Marly, her husband Wiel and their two dogs, Zaz and Merlot, who live in a charming building from 1863 which they bought in 1997. The house is located in beautiful surroundings and hosts both their private home and their shared passion: the antiques store Lignum Antiquum.

Tasty dishes with CHICKPEAS • When I started eating more vegetarian food, I was surprised by all the wonderful dishes that you can make with chickpeas and chickpea water. This is healthy and cheap food with no waste. Let me show you some of my favorite recipes with chickpeas. Recipes with licorice • In 2024, I met Pernille Hoffmann who’s a photographer, stylist, recipe developer and designer. You’ll find more recipes from Pernille in future editions of the magazine, and she’ll also be part of up-coming Jeanne d'Arc Living events. In this article, she’s been working with three different types of licorice – a fine powder which you can use on the outside of your hard candy, a coarse powder made of raw licorice and coarse pieces of licorice sticks.

Feel the presence OF HISTORY • During a time in which we appreciate unique and memorable experiences, Mette and Jens have created a very special place. Here, you can step directly into a piece of Danish history and experience the atmosphere from the iconic TV show from the 1970s, called Matador. During this event, the TV show is revived through music, songs, a carefully chosen menu and details such as clothes and table decorations that reflect the time period of the show. This evening is full of intimacy, authenticity and a nostalgic return to the past.

WHITE ASPARAGUS – a spring classic • White asparagus are in season and this is quite a delicacy. During one of our trips, Tine found this incredibly beautiful asparagus dish that inspired us to offer you this nice recipe with white asparagus.

A small PARADISE • For 25 years, Ramona has been living in this small village close to the French border to Alsace together with her husband and their loyal friend, Balu, a Brittany hunting dog. Together they’ve invested lots of love in creating their very own small paradise in the middle of the vineyards and close to the forest.
